Hayalet Öyküleri Konusu
250 yıllık bir lanet ve nehirde saklı duran hayaletler artık su yüzüne çıkıyor. Bundan tam 250 yıl önce Shinzaemon adlı zalim bir samuray tefecilik yapan Soetsu'yu öldürür ve cesedini nehire atar. Ancak bu nehirle ilgili bir efsane vardır. Nehirde batan ceset, su yüzüne bir daha asla çıkamayacaktır. Aradan 20 yıl geçer ve Shinzaemon'un oğlu bir tesadüf sonucu karşılaştığı Soetsu'nun kızına aşık olur. Ancak önce kendilerini bekleyen lanet ve nehirin sakladığı hayaletlerle yüzleşmek zorunda kalacaktır * Klasik 12 Japon hayalet hikayesinin toplandığı kitabın adıdır Kwaidan. Usta yönetmen Kobayashi bu hikayeleri inanılmaz yorumlamıştır. Film değil sanki herbiri üzerinden yıllarca çalışılmış paha biçilmez resimlerdir.
