Biyografi
Thomas Jeffrey Hanks (doğum: 9 Temmuz 1956), Amerikalı bir oyuncu ve film yapımcısıdır. Hem komedi hem de dram türündeki rolleriyle tanınan Hanks, dünya çapında en popüler ve en tanınabilir film yıldızlarından biri olarak kabul edilir ve geniş çevrelerce bir Amerikan kültür ikonu olarak görülür.
Hanks, başrollerini üstlendiği Splash (1984) ve Big (1988) adlı komedi filmleriyle çıkış yaptı. Philadelphia (1993) filminde AIDS hastası bir eşcinsel avukatı ve Forrest Gump (1994) filminde ortalamanın altında zekâya sahip genç bir adamı canlandırarak art arda iki yıl En İyi Erkek Oyuncu Akademi Ödülü kazandı.
