Jean‑Louis Broust (1942–2006) was a French actor active in film, television, and theatre. He gained recognition in the 1970s with several notable roles, including Edward III in Les Rois maudits and Romeo in Roméo et Juliette. He went on to build a steady career in historical and dramatic productions, appearing in La Dame de Monsoreau, Molière pour rire et pour pleurer, La Juive du Château‑Trompette, and Richelieu, le Cardinal de Velours. In cinema, he worked under renowned directors such as Luis Buñuel, Jeanne Moreau, and Nikos Papatakis.
