dizifilmyorum is a platform for tracking the films and TV shows you watch and sharing them with the community. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights over your data.

Data we collect

  • Account information: your email address, username and password. Your password is never stored in plain text; only an irreversible hash is kept.
  • Profile information (optional): bio, country preference, profile photo and your Letterboxd / Serializd / TV Time usernames.
  • Activity data: your ratings, reviews, lists, watch statuses, diary entries, likes, follows and mood tags.
  • Technical data: your language and region preferences. Standard request metadata (such as IP addresses) may be kept briefly in server logs.

How we use your data

We use your data only to provide the service: displaying your profile and community interactions, showing content in your language and region, and generating recommendations. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.

Cookies and local storage

We use a single authentication cookie (httpOnly) to keep you signed in. Your theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Third-party services

Film and TV metadata (posters, overviews, cast, etc.) is fetched live from the TMDB API; no personal data is shared with TMDB. Profile photos are stored on our content delivery network (CDN). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Data retention and account deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your account is open. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete account) or from the settings page on the website. Deletion is permanent: your ratings, reviews, lists and all other data are removed irreversibly.

Your rights

Under Turkish data protection law (KVKK) and the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, delete and object to the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us or use the account deletion feature.

Children's privacy

The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from users under 13.

Changes

We will publish any significant changes to this policy on this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
