Daniel saves Lou’s project presentation, and the couple finally reconciles. Meanwhile, Richard hatches a nasty plan to make the presentation a complete embarrassment for Lou. He hides the financing documents and turns Hans-Harald against her. When the presentation begins, Lou is under pressure as Hans-Harald relentlessly demands information about the financing plans, and she has no answer. Valerie refuses to accept that Hans-Harald wants nothing more to do with her. He feels like her father. She works obsessively on Hans-Harald’s apartment design to please him. When he finally withdraws the commission and declares he never wants to see her again, Valerie collapses in Gisela’s arms. Toni’s argument with Jonas escalates: She steals his beloved sneakers, but he won’t stand for it. In desperation, Carla takes untested hormone pills from the US for the first time, despite Britta’s strong warnings against it.
