Bon Latagan

Biography

Born in Sorsogon City in 1998, Evonrey “Bon” Latagan is a Development Officer at the Film Development Council of the Philippines. He is also a filmmaker dedicated to honoring and advancing his Bicolano roots through both creative practice and academic pursuits. He is currently pursuing his MA in Media Studies (Film) at the University of the Philippines, where his research focuses on the history and contemporary development of Bikol Cinema. Through his filmmaking, scholarship, and engagement with the local film community, he seeks to contribute to the growth and visibility of regional cinema and film scholarship in the Philippines.
