Biography

JUAN CARLOS OJANO is a Filipino filmmaker and film critic who experience includes film/video editing, scriptwriter, casting, and subtitling. His thesis film HEADLINE (2016) has been screened in various film festivals. It received multiple recognitions like Best Editing and Special Mention inNarrative – Film. This film was also the University of the Philippines Film Institute’s official submission for the Foreign Narrative Category at the 43rd Student Academy Awards. His other short films include AWAY FROM HOME (2014), COMING HOME (2015), WITNESS (2020), and HOW TO REWIND MAY 9 (2024). He has also worked as assistant editor for the horror film CLARITA (2019), casting director for the documentary film LAUREL (2019), and as subtitler for the

coming-of-age film CLEANERS (2019).
